Anything You Want To Post About

Firstly, I'm enraged once again w dad yesterday. I took his drilling kit and Ikea hammering kit to do tv mounting on my bedroom wall cos the table is so space consuming yet I can only place a tv. So ridiculous. I took both sets and carry them on my right hand and vacuum cleaner on my left. Went to my room straight and start drilling. Mom knocked on the door (Dad asked to) and start nagging, if I don't know how to use why not ask help from dad. I was like who said I don't!? I know lehs. Then she was like where you learn from!? Secondary school got D&T lesson what, we are being taught! LOL padehal tak eh. Tu first time. So I just closed the door after Mom went out of my room.

After finishing w everything, I just arranged everything in order (THANK GOD I DID) and put it back where they are supposed to be. Went to the washroom to wash hands and legs. Dad just finished his maghrib prayers came out of the room, open the store room door in a v angry manner and took both kits out check everything. I was like SERIOUSLY WHATEVER =_=.

When I walk passed him, he nagged: Even if you know how to use, you don't have to take those discreetly. I was like hmm orang tua ni assume lagi. So I can't keep my mouth shut and replied in the tone he gave me: Who took it discreetly!? I carried it together w the vacuum cleaner in front of you!!! He kept his mouth shut. OMG I was so angry I cried in my room.

The moment parents went out of the house to collect some things, I literally screamed my ass of in the washroom. SO SO SO ANGRY I couldn't believe I really screamed. And the moment he's back, I was vacuuming the whole house, but was doing his room first, and he was like THANKING ME REPEATEDLY cos I just kept quiet. What do you think? Andropause + Split personality? Hmm weird la v weird.

Secondly, I am v glad Ramadhan is over but I am eager for another Ramadhan next year, insh'Allah. Ramadhan teaches me to be v v v patient, I'm still trying. But I believe I'm a lay-back kinda person, just that I like to keep feelings within myself. I can bear provocations depending on how the situation is. Try me when I'm mad nasty and sad. Staying home tomorrow, during Hari Raya which is ridiculously insane. OMG I regret taking annual leave.

And LASTLY. I'm glad I manage to complete this 30 DAY CHALLENGE. Like I said, once I'm committed to doing something, I will make sure I finish it!

My boss, Joelle Lim will be leaving the company by end of this month. I am so so so so worried as myself and my supervisor, Tommy has always been v dependant on her. Be it product wise or system errors, human mistakes and handling complains. Sighs. I still have no idea who else we can phone up in the middle of the night if we need assistance. Even my Senior Retail Asst, Benjamin is already thinking of leaving the co. I can't even describe how he will handle AAShop after Joelle leaves the co. So probably that's one of the reason. I told Ben that its hard for me to look for a job as whenever interviewers invites me to an interview, I will be working on that day. Ben told me that its such a pity cos they've actually discussed about promoting me to a Senior like him BUT coincidentally, my performance wasn't up to their standard BECAUSE of my punctuality. I swear before this my punctuality was v bad. I can't wake up in the morning. I'm not a morning waker but that's definitely not the reason why I can't be punctual, right? I believe I've improved ever since. Punctuality improved, but need to improve on punctuality for PM shift. I can be early when I'm in the AM shift but not PM shift. FML. I've told myself umpteen times to buck up to BUCK UP, but look at me. Still in this position. Ben was thinking whether I'll tender after getting my bonus. I aint sure either cos I have bills to settle, I can't just resign. Getting hired ain't easy like picking up rotten leaves with the qualification I'm holding. Therefore, I can't be too choosy. And leaving this job wouldn't be as easy as this is my first retail job and I was together w the set up of this shop. Sighs. I need guidance.

I swear I've never ever in my 20 years of living my life attended any concerts.

Firstly, when favourite artists came to Singapore, I was still in my teenage years back then.

Still studying, still fooling around, even my pocket/wallet wasn't filled w enough coins/notes.

Was still struggling, so I can't expect myself to be in concerts watching famous people perform while I struggle my days throughout. I used to earn from my momma by ironing her clothes every weekend for $0.50 each, handkerchief and scarf costs $0.30. Saddly yes, I'm not used to being without water for more than half an hour especially at work.
Big gulp always by my side, but not before 7.18pm for this whole month of August.

Another post. Trying on the new cosmetic products which I purchase days ago.
This time the matte lipstick isn't so hard to apply, I have no conception.

The rest was pretty hard.
There's alot of blemishes and imperfections. Pimples breakouts. Yes thanks to those 2 ass peanuts.

Not good in make up. Its hard to achieve an adequate standard.
Huge amount of concealer, which I'm not supposed to? How do I hide those imperfections then? No idea.

Put on the eyeshadow base, after that the colours from those palettes.
OK not colours, just some mxtures of grey, brown and black at the edge.
I confessed; suck in blending eye shadows. I can't stand my eyelid as well.
Its so thin I find it even harder to apply eye shadows.

As for my brows, I have no idea what to do w it besides threading.
I need it to be darker. Some says use the brow pencil, I tried and failed.
Some says apply abit of black or brown eyeshadow. Failed as well.

I need some opinions from different majority of people.

Oh one more thing is that, TRIPOD IS BROKEN. Which means I officially need a new one. DUMBO.

So basically its based on true story, well I only read narrative story based.

Its about Nujood Ali, aged 10, divorced. Well, the title tells it all.

Forced marriage.

She obtained a divorce when she's at the age of 10, breaking with the tribal tradition.

Nujood possessed courage and bravery which not all 10 year old girls would have possessed by then.

She was even praised by prominent womens.

Nujood's lawyer Shada Nasser, who's born in 1964, is a feminist and specialist in human rights, whose involvement in Ali's case received much acclaim.

What Band or Musician Is Most Important To You

Gawd. When somebody asks me a question about a band or musician being most important to me, I don't think that potentially exists, mainly because I have too many favorite artists and songs that I love and think reflects my mood. That's the way I listen to my genres of music, those that reflects the way I feel at that particular time.

Well, I don't have a favourite band, seriously. Right now I feel like a lot of Colbie Caillat and J Lo material really resonates with me especially “Before I Let You Go” by Colbie & "One Love" by J Lo. I would still say my most favourite would be "The Pieces Don't Fit Anymore" by James Morrison.

Its like people shouldn't be with someone who doesn't complement them. Letting go hurts but it's also liberating. I wish I could be liberated.

Wasn't so happy with the matte lipsticks cos I find applying it on my lips is abit hard cos its way way matte. MATTE. As for the gel eyeliner, didn't thought it would be as hard as this, cos I think applying liquid eyeliner is way easier.

The Meaning Behing Your Blog Name

Came up with the name wordsandphilography because "words" represents writing and symbolizes meanings. Tons.

As for philography? Its "philosophy" and "photography" combined in other words, brings up "philography".

Photography is something interesting. Really magical. I just love the sound of it and the thought of being one. Being able to capture a still moment in time, that would otherwise have passed in an instance. I find photo editing way easier than photography. Still brushing on my skills.

Your Day In Great Details

Well, these topic in the challenge annoy me a little cos I fail to see the enjoyment value in a run-down of my day to day life, therefore I am not fully determined on this. :P

Basically day to day life is the same everyday. Its just like a repetition for me.

Everyday I wake up at 0845 if I'm starting work at 1045 and 1045 when I'm starting work at 1245pm. Working PM shift, I always, ALWAYS didn't manage to reach work on time. Idk whether its the train timing or something, cos I know I always go out the same time every AM and PM shift. I really really need to buck up on my punctuality.

As for my off day last week, I just stayed home, slept and woke up real late cos I've work for 10 days consecutively due to me changing my off day to other dates. So I stayed home, do some housework, definitely tidy up my room, and update apps on my mom's ipod which I've been using like my own. I will return her back soon, real soon.

So tomorrow is my birthday, I don't have any celebrations going on in mind cos I don't feel like having it since every year is the same, no freedom, no nothing. Just me and my life. So let it be just me and my life tomorrow, since I'm working full shift as Tom is on off.

I'll be going out w my girlfriends on the 25th. To USS, karaoke, I will bring my tripod along as I probably wanna get some shots during the nightime IF we were to go to MBS and chill again. Its hard cos curfew is at 11, but I just rebel and I know I'll be home by 12pm. At times, when I really didn't go anywhere on my off day, once in a while when I'm on off, I reached home at 1am which majorly pisses my dad off and he starts his same "you are a girl" theory which I totally got pissed off. When asked what I want I always kept quiet. Cos when I replied what I want, he will scream. That isn't how a dad should behave dammit.

My name is Nur Adibah. I am turning 20 this 20th July. Aspiring to be a photographer. Have been living in Singapore. Currently employed, at Automobile Association of Singapore as a Retail Associate/Customer Service Assistant. I love electronic stuffs more than myself, seriously. I’m asian, 50% white 50% dark brown which makes me a light brown cow. I take fizzy drinks almost everyday only when I'm at work. My family’s okay. My brother is awesome, just that his mindset now somehow changes abit, almost like my dad. I’m kind of sad about that cos I don't really tell him secrets that much anymore. I can be socially awkward but I try to crack up a topic whenever I can. I love sleeping (who doesn't), playing around w my camera and visualize new designs for my bedroom. I'm spending my month w breakouts which I really really hate so much. Peanuts and scorching hot weather causes them. I can avoid peanuts but its never possible to avoid from heat though. I find fat white people amazing, cos they can rock whatever outfit they put on. When I do, the fatness is visible. I am uncertain about what I really want to do in life, which I think is absurd.

The Rebound

Watched The Rebound yesterday morning till 4-5 am.
Feeling damn restless now cos I didn't get sufficient sleep.
End work at 1445 pm today so I'm definitely gon rot at home.
I already brought my camera gadgets, but nah I don't think I'll proceed w the photography taking session.

Anyways, the movie plot is about a housewife and mother of two, Sandy (Catherine Zeta-Jones), discovers that her husband has been unfaithful. After a hasty divorce, she decides to leave home and go to New York City with her young son and daughter. There they begin a new life. Sandy quickly rents an apartment above a coffee house and befriends one of the waiters, Aram Finklestein (Justin Bartha). Aram, at 25, is not sure what he wants to do with his life although he has a college degree and a tendency towards women studies and feminism. Still, he decides to babysit Sandy's children ultimately becoming their full-time nanny. He develops a close-knit relationship with both children and a chemistry starts to brew between Aram and Sandy ensuing in an awkward sexual encounter one of the children witnesses. Notwithstanding, they start to date and after two months it would seem they are perfect together. Until one day Sandy feels nauseous and suspects she is pregnant. As they leave the doctor, a fight breaks out between Aram and Sandy, with the latter confirming that she thinks it's ludicrous that the two of them, with an age difference of 15 years, would ever be happy together. After the break-up, Aram decides to travel the world and to improve the lives of others. Sandy gets promoted at her job and after five years have passed, the two share a chance encounter in a restaurant. Aram reveals he has adopted a young boy from Bangladesh and is still single. Sandy, who was celebrating her promotion with her children and a colleague invites Aram and his family to join them. The film ends as the two hold hands underneath the table whilst their children start to bond.

MARRIAGE

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Jane. I didn't love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Jane so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month's time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that every day for the month's duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Jane about my wife's divorce conditions. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully.

My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mommy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside
the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn't tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me... she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mom out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office.... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind...I walked upstairs. Jane opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Jane, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Jane, I said, I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each other anymore. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.

Jane seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.
My wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was so busy with Jane to even notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me from the whatever negative reaction from our son, in case we push thru with the divorce.-- At least, in the eyes of our son--- I'm a loving husband....

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse's friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

If you don't share this, nothing will happen to you.

If you do, you just might save a marriage.

blood donation

ishh . me & friends went to hsa; health science authority to donate our blood to the needy .
& its my first time, so kinda felt very nervous .
we have to do a blood test & everything and i get to donate mine .
wheeeee ! i dont really have a pain feeling when the nurse poke the needle through my veins .
but then when its nearly done, i feel like theres a blackout in the room .
my vision colour turns grey and i suddenly felt so giddy .
& the nurse asked me to lie down for like 10 mins, & i did .
the nurse called the doctor to check on me, & finally everything was okay after the short rest .
the doctor asked me to take plenty of plain water & foods as to replenish the blood that i've donated .
it was quite an experience as it was the first time i tried this .
i feel better now .
but my hand still hurts & its a bit swollen .
the nurse said that the swollen part will dissapear by its own day by day .
& i had to kinda apply this cream . & also take the meds that they gave .
p/s : my next appointment is on 16 oct or probably i can also come above that date .

I'm quite sad at first . I made my own so called "dinoTOPS hersh chocs" ice cream at 12.00 midnight singapore timing .
dinoTOPS is kinda my random nick . I ate alone .

Then, I continued updating friendster & myspace . I set my msn as away & continued my graffiti scribbling stuffs
Tired of doing so, I squeezed in new mandarin words through my brain which I'm trying to learn since sec 3.
I kinda like understood the basic mandarin & am into intermediate ones . =)
After a few mins, brother gets back home .
He made me laugh .
He had no money to buy me presents so he bought me a cracker . Haha !
How thoughtful of him . & a few mins later, mum went into my room, wished me happy bithday, gave me a small gift attached with a note & kissed my cheeks . *touched*
I read the note immediately & it stated :

To my loving daughter & The only daughter .
There's no present on your birthday, only to wish you a happy sweet 17th birthday .
Hope you will change your attitude and be more matured .
